VR/AR as a powerful visualization and empathy tool has the power to transform how we think, feel and decide. Storytelling is critical to user experience design for immersive media. This talk demonstrates with “demos” of how VR/AR can transform our thinking in these important areas:
-Ecological: imagining new scenarios for changing minds, educating and developing new solutions for influencing industry/ policy makers and creatives-scientists.
-Social change: imagining new experiences for more sustainable, equitable and inclusive design.
-Training and Therapy: leveraging VR/AR for training, personal development, as well as therapeutic interventions.
-Empathy work: leveraging AR/VR for deepening empathy for improving for example access for people with disabilities.
