Alicia Garabedian
Investor, Samsung NEXT
Alicia is an Investment Associate at Samsung NEXT Ventures. The team invests in early-stage transformative software and services startups that have potential to scale and deliver out-sized financial returns by leveraging the Samsung ecosystem. She is currently focused on sourcing opportunities in AR and Blockchain, as well as working on the launch of the NEXT International Platform to help startups access Samsung’s offering.
Alicia initially joined Samsung in 2017 as Venture Operations Manager where she built the operational framework for the Ventures team. Prior to Samsung NEXT, Alicia was an Investment Associate at Hive Ventures, where she sourced, evaluated, and executed investments in SaaS, IoT, and Robotics. Prior to Hive, Alicia was an Institutional Consultant at Morgan Stanley, where she led the integration of socially responsible investing to re-engineer client portfolios, mobilizing capital to affect positive global change. Alicia has global experience working in London and Paris and also worked at Merrill Lynch and UBS. Alicia graduated Magna Cum Laude from DePaul University in Finance and International Business.
