Beth Scicchitano

Manager, Strategic Technologies, Newport News Shipbuilding

Beth manages a rapid prototyping and development team that focuses on Augmented Reality and other emerging technologies at Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS). She has taken on successive roles after joining the team in 2014 as a project manager and later becoming the supervisor of the program and research teams.

Beth joined NNS in 2001 as a test engineer and then moved to design where she focused on acoustics and ship survivability. In 2011, she accepted a position as an engineering liaison between engineering, the customer, and contracts. The experience in various areas of NNS has exposed her to many different engineering and production processes and programs.
Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Strayer University.
