Jay Fraser

Global Head of VR for Training, HP

Jay graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2007 and joined the Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer. He spent 4 years with first battalion, first marines as a platoon commander, executive officer, and company commander and deployed twice overseas on a Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2009 and in 2011. He also served as a company commander and operations officer of the Infantry Training Battalion from 2012-2015 while earning a MBA from UCLA. After graduating from UCLA and leaving active duty, Jay joined HP in September of 2015 as a business manager in the Personal Systems Services team. Currently, Jay is leading global business development for the Virtual Reality business focused specifically on the military, first responder, and training market segment.

From the perspective of a Marine Corps Infantry Officer, this session will highlight clear use cases in the military (easily transferrable to law enforcement community) where VR can add value and disrupt the traditional way of doing business. The focus will be on training applications, specifically procedural maintenance, dismounted troop, and cultural/soft skill training.
