Innovation Director, IEEE
Jay Iorio is the Director of Innovation and futurist for the IEEE Standards Association. His focus is mixed reality, virtual worlds, and their ultimate convergence with the internet of things, artificial intelligence, wearables, and the built environment.
Jay has spoken at South by Southwest, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Augmented World Expo, the Consumer Electronics Show, the University of Southern California, the Federal Consortium for Virtual Worlds, and elsewhere on these topics and the future of the arts and the urban space in this new technology landscape.
Jay has published in a variety of publications and is often interviewed by the tech and general press. He is currently co-chair of the mixed-reality committee of The IEEE Global Initiative for Ethical Considerations in Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems.
Jay is based in Los Angeles.
