Founder, Weightless Studio
Luke Wilson founded Weightless Studio with the intention of using new technologies to improve patient care. Partnering with the Stanford CHARIOT Program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Luke has developed VR games, mindfulness experiences, and physical therapy tools. He also works with the Starlight Children’s Foundation, using VR to bring moments of joy to hospitalized kids. Luke studied computer science at Stanford University, and currently lives in Santa Cruz where he spends his free time hiking in the redwoods and learning to surf.
Medical doctors explore how they use VR to reduce kids’ pain & anxiety; “our products are used daily as clinical interventions within the hospital” — this is a combination of solo talk & “how-to” tutorial for others who want to approach healthcare facilities to implement these tools in clinical settings.
